Lemons...Lemons...and...more Lemons.

If you know me,then you know that I love lemons,if you didn't know this, now you do.My best friend and I,are calling ourselves lemons(don't ask).I could drink lemon juice all day,I put it everywhere. That's why yesterday after eating two lemons(I read that you mustn't eat more than five lemons),I decided to search ways of making lemons useful for my skin-and yours-.Here are eight ways you can use them.:

  1. Cleanser: Lemon can be used as  a everyday cleanser, add few drops of lemon your cleanser or face wash for a bright skin.
  2. Scrub: Mix lemon with sugar and use it as a scrub for a soft and smooth skin.
  3. Glowing Skin: Mix lemon with honey to achieve a dewy glowing skin.
  4. Odor: Lemon is an excellent home remedy to treat body odor in a natural way.
  5. Dandruff: It can be used to treat dandruff and dry, itchy scalp.
  6. Fair Skin: Lemon can also be used to lighten and even out skin tone. It also helps to treat acne prone and oily skin.**
  7. Dark underarms: It is also used to exfoliate the rough skin and lighten dark underarms or discolored hands and legs.
  8. Blackhead Remover: Use lemon to prevent and get rid of black or white heads by using it with honey as a cleanser or with sugar to scrub off the blackheads.

**3)Homemade Lemon and Honey Face Mask:

What you’ll need:

½ Organic Lemon
1 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
Mixing Bowl

  • To prep your skin before any face mask, pour boiling hot water in a bowl and stand above it letting the steam open your pores
  • .Mix one tablespoon of organic raw honey and half a squeezed lemon in to a bowl and apply all over your face, avoiding the eye area.
  • Now, let your skin soak up all this goodness for 15-30 minutes (depending on how sensitive your skin is).
  • Wash away with warm water, finishing with one splash of cold water to close your pores. Pat gently with a towel to dry.
  •  Let your skin breathe for the rest of the day, or follow up with your favorite moisturizer/serum.

**6)How to make your own homemade lemon toner:

  • Being a natural astringent, lemon will help tighten large pores, kill ance causing bacteria and strip skin of excess oils.
  • Use the ratio of 1:2 of freshly squeezed lemon juice to pure water to make a safe and frugal lemon water toner.
  • Store in a clear empty spray bottle or spritzer. Freshen up your face with an amazing lemon water toner with a few spritzes!

**8)How to remove blackheads with lemon:

A.Lemon Juice:

  • Lemon juice
  • Cotton ball
  • Water

  • Collect freshly-extracted lemon juice in a small bowl.
  • Dilute with a small amount of water.
  • Apply directly to affected skin with the cotton ball.
  • Allow it to dry naturally.
  • Wash off by gently scrubbing it.
  • Repeat 2 – 3 times a day for best results.(I take it from myself and I won't do that 2-3 times a day,no time,lazy,etc.)
  • Note: Applying lemon juice directly without dilution on the skin causes irritation, itching, and redness, especially with sensitive skin.

B. Lemon with Rose Water:

(you knew that there was rosewater)

These contain toning, anti-microbial properties which are suitable for treating blackheads.
  • 1 Lemon
  • Rose water
  • Cool water

  • Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl.
  • Add equal quantity of rose water.
  • Stir well.
  • Apply directly to the affected areas.
  • Let it sit for about 15 – 20 minutes or until it dries completely.
  • Rinse with cool water, gently scrubbing.
  • Repeat daily for 2 weeks.
  • Note: You can substitute rosewater for regular water.

C.Lemon with Baking Soda Scrub:

Baking soda exfoliates and removes dead skin cells and blackheads leaving the skin soft and smooth.
  • ¼ cup Lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar (granulated)
  • Lukewarm water

  • Combine baking soda and granulated brown sugar in a bowl.
  • Add fresh-squeezed lemon juice.
  • Stir until properly blended.
  • Apply to damp skin, gently scrubbing and massaging with your fingers while concentrating on dry patches and affected areas.
  • Let it sit for 10 – 15 minutes.
  • Rinse with lukewarm water.
  • Repeat regularly for best results.

D.Lemon Juice with Cinnamon:

Cinnamon removes excess sebum on the skin’s surface to clear blackheads and lemon tightens up the skin pores to prevent its recurrence.
  • ½ Lemon
  • Cinnamon powder

  • Squeeze half a lemon into a bowl with a sufficient amount of cinnamon powder.
  • Mix well into a smooth paste.
  • Apply to your entire face before bed, leaving it on overnight.
  • Rinse with water in the morning.
  • Repeat until you observe visible results.
  • Note: You can replace lemon juice for lime juice
